I leave on Thursday to stay with Gordon and Sandy in Jax and then Friday up to Columbia to check into my dorm. Dorm.......? I will let you know what it is like living in a dorm again after almost 30 years. So far, my best way to describe what I think it will be like is "interesting". Deb and I have visited the campus and are both excited about being there. Hopefully it won't be too long before she can join me. Right now, it just isn't working out for that to happen. We have a house that we owe more on than we can sell it for. We will see how that works out.

Everyone at church threw me a great going away fellowship hour on Sunday. Thanks so much to the WILD women of our church for all the work you did. What does WILD stand for? Women in Lutheran Devotion. We have more fun calling them WILD women. :) Someone put together one of the pictures from our Deacon Consecration with the four of us, (Sue, Luther, Joyce and I) standing in front of the altar, along with a large matted area and a frame. So many of the congregation put a note and signed it with well wishes. I am taking this to my dorm room with me and hanging it on the wall. If I ever get to feeling overwhelmed looking at this will be the cure. I am also taking my stole with me in hopes of being able to pursue a Synodical Deacon position at the church I worship with in the Columbia area.

The pile of things in the living room that I am taking with me is getting pretty big. We joke that we don't know if it will all fit into my car. I don't really know for sure, but I am hoping. If not, some of it won't go.

Our anniversary is tonight. 24 years and it still gets better every year! I don't know what I would do without Deb. We are going out to dinner with some gift cards we have received for my giving blood this year. See, doing the right thing can pay off! We will be reminiscing about our trip. We probably won't talk much about Thursday as that is going to be a hard day.

That should get you up to speed. More will follow later in the week.
